Visual guide to downloading in iTunes

Purchase Feed Subscription

After completing your purchase using our website you are presented with the option to "automagically" register your purchase feed within the podcast section of iTunes. If your purchase feed is already registered in iTunes, skip to Managing Purchases below.

If you are not currently subscribed to your purchase feed in iTunes, click the Launch iTunes button below to launch iTunes and subscribe to your purchase feed.

If iTunes is installed but does not launch automatically, you may need to manually subscribe to your download purchase feed. How to manually subscribe?

Managing Purchases in iTunes

The following instructions illustrate how purchases made using our service are managed within iTunes. These instructions are extremely helpful after making your first purchase, or after making a purchase that includes more than one item. Please note that only the first item of a multi-item order will download automatically.

iTunes 12 (current)

With the iTunes application open select Podcasts from the Library selection popup menu located in the upper left hand portion of the window. (see image below for reference).

Select "TheSurfNetwork.com Video Download Purchases" in left hand column. (see image below for reference)

Switch to Feed view (see image below for reference)

Download purchase by clicking corresponding download icon (see image below for reference)

Monitor progress of downloads (see images below for reference).

iTunes 11 (updated)

With the iTunes application open select Podcasts from the Library selection popup menu located in the upper left hand portion of the window. (see image below for reference).

If after clicking on Podcasts, you see the a thumbnail image like below, you will need to to switch to list view. Switch to List view by clicking the List view selector. (see image below for reference)

Once in List view, locate "TheSurfNetwork.com Video Download Purchases..." Click the toggle arrow so that it points downward listing your purchases. (see image below for reference)

By pressing the toggle arrow, you can view your list of purchases available for download. Download any available purchases by pressing the download button that corresponds to that title. (see image below for reference)

If you just made a purchase and it isn't listed, you may need to refresh your feed by pressing the "refresh" button located in the upper left hand corner of the Podcast view within iTunes. (see image below for reference).

If after switching to List view and not all your purchases are listed, you will need to switch to the Feed sub view. The steps provided below illustrate how to switch to this new view.

Select Feed from the Show drop down menu at the bottom of the iTunes window. Download each selection by clicking the corresponding download icon.

iTunes 11 (original)

If you've refreshed your purchase feed and your purchases are still not listed, right click on "TheSurfNetwork.com Video Download Purchases" and select "Show Old Episodes" from the drop down menu.

With the iTunes application open click the Podcasts icon located in the left column to list your podcasts feeds. (see image below for reference)

If after clicking on Podcasts, you see the a thumbnail image like below, you will need to to switch to list view. (see image below for reference)

Ensure you are NOT in Grid or Cover Flow views, if necessary switch to List view by clicking the List view icon. (see image below for reference)

Once in List view, locate "TheSurfNetwork.com Video Download Purchases..." Click the toggle arrow so that it points downward listing your purchases. (see image below for reference)

By pressing the toggle arrow, you can view your entire list of purchases. From here you can then download any of your remaining purchases by pressing the "get" button that corresponds to that title. (see image below for reference)
