One of surfing's most historic towns, Santa Cruz, California is a place with a legacy of rugged, counterculture surfers finding a home among the world-class waves. Today, Santa Cruz is divided between East and West siders, longboarders and shortboarders, giving everybody with a surfboard under their arm a distinct identity.
In this episode of FiNS, we travel through Santa Cruz, tapping into some of the local fixtures for an insider look at a distinct California surf town. We talk to surfers Jason "Ratboy" Collins and Peter Garaway, as well as local photographer Patrick Trefz and legendary local shaper Bill "Stretch" Reidel.
