Firsthand - Rochelle Ballard
Firsthand catches up with Rochelle Ballard, runner-up champ of 2004 WCT ASP, as she heads into the fifth stop of the WCT women's tour in Perranporth, England. Faced with bitter cold water temperatures and volatile surf conditions, Rochelle surfs her way through the first two rounds but falls short in the Quarterfinals losing to up and comer, Rebecca Woods. With a week off before the next contest, Rochelle takes advantage of the downtime and travels to picturesque Biarritz, France, where she immerses herself in the French culture, food and of course her favorite pastime, shopping! Firsthand picks back up with Rochelle in her home state of Kauai, Hawaii, relaxing with family and friends and taking a stroll down memory lane at her childhood surf spot, PKs.
