The Surfer's Journal - Filmmakers - Witzig/Falzon
Beginning with the short-board revolution of the late 1960's and continuing into the early years of professional surfing, attitudes were changing along with surfboard size. In this episode, we examine the evolution of surf culture through its film and filmmakers, from Bob Evans introduction of the medium to Paul Witzig's "Evolution" released in 1969,which quickly became a symbol for the turbulent early stages of the short-board era. And Albert Falzons 1971 hit Morning of the Earth which depicted the calm after the storm and the discovery of Uluwatu, Bali.
