About Producer
Bruce Brown's first film Barefoot Adventure established him as a major player in the genre. His footage was solid, his editing good too, but what set his films apart were his original jazz soundtracks by Bud Shank and Brown's casual narrative style seemed to embody all that was truely cool about surfing and surfers. He followed with Slippery When Wet in '61, Waterlogged in '62, Surfing Hollow Days in '63, then in 1964 Bruce released The Endless Summer which was to become the most popular and widely seen surf film of all-time.
